1. Pictures of urea formaldehyde resin for wood chipboard making
Urea formaldehyde (UF) is a cost-powerful thermosetting resin that is broadly utilised in the wood item industry. In the laboratory, urea formaldehyde resins are well prepared by dealing with urea with formaldehyde in an alkaline or neutral medium to make dimethylol urea, which then undergoes polycondensation, a chemical process that final results in a polymer, when heated in an acidic medium.
These resins cure easily and are scratch resistant. They are mainly used in adhesives, finishes, particle board, MDF, and molded objects. UF and relevant amino resins are regarded a class of thermosetting resins of which urea-formaldehyde resins make up 80% produced EPTly.
